Our first destination is the Old Town, where we'll visit St. Mary's Church. Established in 1347, this majestic basilica stands prominently over the bustling main market square. Our exploration continues to Jagiellonian University, one of the world's oldest universities, established in 1364 by King Casimir III the Great. Following that, we will visit the historical Cloth Halls and proceed to the iconic Wawel Castle and Cathedral, a complex that showcases centuries of architectural evolution and is a highlight of Krakow.
This afternoon, you'll have free time to further explore Krakow at your leisure. Additionally, there's an option to join a tour to the remarkable Wieliczka Salt Mine. Known for its vast network of tunnels, the mine is often dubbed 'the underground salt Cathedral of Poland' because of its breathtaking interior. This offers a unique glimpse into the subterranean beauty and heritage of Poland.

Day 3 - Auschwich Birkenau - Warsaw

This morning we will be picked up at our hotel after breakfast to go to Auschwich Birkenau. Here we will experience a poignant piece of World War II history on a day trip. Led by a knowledgeable guide, explore the UNESCO-listed former Nazi concentration camp complex and preserve the memory of those who perished there.

We will explore the twin concentration camp with a guide as you learn about the Nazi Holocaust and how the camps functioned. Explore the poignant exhibition halls, and see the barracks, gas chambers and other buildings at Auschwitz I. We will also view the watchtowers, crumbled buildings and memorials at Auschwitz II-Birkenau.
This afternoon we will be transferred to Krakow railway station and depart by train to Warsaw. On arrival at Warsaw railway station we will be transferred to our hotel for check in.

Today, we delve into the storied past of Warsaw, a city that experienced near-total devastation by the close of World War II. Since then, its historic Old Town has been painstakingly restored to its original splendor. Our journey starts at the Royal Castle, and as we proceed along the Royal Route, we will visit key landmarks including St. John's Cathedral, the Old Town Market Square, and the Barbican.
This afternoon, you'll have the opportunity to wander through Warsaw at your own pace. Alternatively, you might choose to join an optional tour of the Royal Łazienki Park, which is renowned for its beautiful Lazienki Palace, often referred to as the Palace on the Water. To cap off the day, consider joining us for an optional Polish dinner this evening.

Day 5 - Gdansk

After breakfast this morning, we depart from Warsaw. We embark on a train journey to Gdansk. Gdansk presents itself almost as a distinct enclave, boasting a refined, affluent, and worldly vibe that distinguishes it from any other Polish city. With roots stretching back to the 10th century, this picturesque city offers a rich historical tapestry. This afternoon, we will explore the old town on a guided walking tour. Our path will lead us along Dlugi Targ, or Long Market, and we will pass by landmarks such as St. Mary’s Church and St. Bridget’s Church. The tour will also include visits to the Artus Court and the Gdansk Town Hall.
